What this is

Testy publishes self-assessment tests. You answer a set of abstract statements, we score them against a published model, and we describe where your answers sit relative to other people who took the same test. The output is educational and entertainment content — a structured mirror, and a prompt to think about what you actually believe.

It is a description of your answers on the day you gave them. It is not a measurement of who you are, and it is not a prediction of what you will do.

Not a psychological assessment

Our tests are not clinical instruments. They are not administered or interpreted by a licensed professional, they are not validated for clinical use, and they produce nothing resembling a diagnosis.

• Nothing here diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition.
• Nothing here is a substitute for assessment by a qualified psychologist, psychiatrist, physician or therapist.
• Do not start, stop or change any treatment because of a result.

Not political advice

Our tests describe values. They do not prescribe politics. A result will never tell you how to vote, who to support, what to donate to, or what position to take on any issue, because that is not what the instrument measures and it is not what we are in the business of doing.

We deliberately keep the questions abstract and principle-level. They are not tied to current events, news, legislation or any specific proposal. Two people with nearly identical results can and regularly do reach opposite practical conclusions, and there is nothing wrong with that — the gap between a value and a policy is where most of actual political disagreement lives.

We are unaffiliated

TODO Legal Entity Ltd. is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, funded by, or operating in cooperation with any political party, candidate, campaign, political committee, advocacy organisation, government body or elected official, anywhere.

We do not take political donations, we do not run advertising on behalf of political organisations, and we do not sell or share our users' answers with any of them. Our only revenue is subscriptions paid by the people who take our tests, on the terms set out in the Subscription & Cancellation Policy.

How accurate is a result?

As accurate as a short self-report questionnaire can be, which is to say: useful, and limited. Self-report measures what you are willing to say about yourself right now. Results move with mood, with how you read an ambiguous word, and with what you did that week.

We describe our scoring openly on the methodology page rather than calling it proprietary. Percentages comparing you to other takers describe the people who have taken this test on this site — a self-selected group, not a representative sample of any population.

What you must not use it for

This matters more than the rest of the page. Do not use a Testy result — yours or anyone else's — to make a decision about another person. Specifically, never use it for:

• Hiring, firing, promotion, assignment or any other employment decision.
• Admissions, grading or academic placement.
• Lending, insurance, tenancy or any other eligibility decision.
• Legal proceedings, custody, immigration or any government determination.
• Screening, vetting or profiling anyone, individually or in groups.

These tests are not valid for any of those purposes, and using them that way may be unlawful. It is also a breach of our Terms of Service.

Third-party references

Where we reference published research, other instruments or external sources, we do so for education and comparison. A reference is not a claim of endorsement by the author or publisher, in either direction. Trademarks belong to their owners.
